Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler recently announced reduced filing fees for Colorado business entities and trademarks.   The Colorado Secretary of State’s office is almost exclusively funded through such fees which, according to Gessler, can absorb the fee reduction without negatively impacting the services provided by the office.  The reduction went into effect on November 1, 2011 and aims to keep the fees among the lowest in the nation.
