The Fort Collins City Council is scheduled to hear from Fort Collins city staff on whether low-level residential restrictions should be imposed at its meeting today. The restrictions would take effect April 1, if approved. Level 1 water restrictions allow watering only two days per week and on a schedule. The restrictions bar watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and prohibit watering of surfaces such as sidewalks and patios except as necessary for health and safety. If these restrictions are imposed, associations within the City of Fort Collins will need to adjust their enforcement of rules and restrictions related to sod, yard maintenance, etc., accordingly.
If Fort Collins is considering watering restrictions other municipalities are likely as well. We will create a chart of all watering restrictions as they are enacted so your community can adjust enforcement accordingly.
