As we could only hope HB16-1133 (the community association manager regulation bill) was killed in committee today. The House committee on Veterans and Military Affairs, in a rare bi-partisan vote unanimously voted to kill the bill. As we detailed earlier, as drafted, this bill would have severely impacted community association manager’s ability to do their job.
As is clear from the vote in committee, there was no appetite among the people for this type of legislation that is overbearing, overly complicated and pointless. Now that this is behind us, we can move on to other association business.
