The next meeting for the HOA Task Force (as created under HB23-1105) is currently scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2024. The meeting will again be held virtually, and interested persons may register to attend the meeting via zoom or may watch the meeting live on YouTube.
The agenda for the January 16, 2024 meeting will include a discussion about CCIOA (the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act, which is the law in Colorado that governs community associations), as well as Association Fining Authority and Practices (what works and what needs improvement).
If you’d like to submit comments regarding the Task Force, its work, concerns you may have, or other comments regarding Community Associations, you may do so on the HOA Homeowners’ Rights Task Force page.
If you have any questions about the upcoming Task Force meeting, please contact one of our Altitude attorneys at 303-432-9999 or email us at [email protected].
If you are attending the meeting, will you ask the Task Force why they want to use a “hammer” to “correct” the sins of a few community management organizations. Those of us who have good management companies will have to pay extra for the company’s training, certifications, insurance, etc. Trying to protect a few HOAs will cost us more in the long run. IMHO
I recommend that you submit comments directly to the task force regarding your concerns about HOA costs and fees, including how those affect management companies. You can submit comments directly here: https://engagedora.org/hoa-task-force.
