5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
This class is being hosted by the City of Greeley, not Altitude Community Law.
As the saying goes, “no good deed goes unpunished”. Unfortunately, many boards, believing they are acting in the best interest of their communities, enact rules or do things that lead to discrimination claims being asserted against them. In some cases, discrimination claims are deemed as legitimate, and associations suffer the wrath of the Colorado Civil Rights Division or the judicial system.
Overall, it seems that owners are getting angrier, less patient, and less reasonable; when directors and community managers end up as scapegoats, it can become very difficult for associations to function. So how do you handle angry owners that are consistently calling, emailing, and yelling at you in meetings? And what should you do if these owners refuse to allow your community to conduct business?
Join us for this class where we will discuss various options for dealing with angry owners, tips for diffusing volatile situations, and how to keep your association out of discrimination claims.
All classes will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Greeley Family Funplex, 1501 65th Avenue. Light refreshments will be available. Pre-register with the Community Development Office at 970-350-9780 or [email protected].
