This class is being hosted by the City of Greeley, not Altitude Community Law.

As Colorado laws continue expanding and demanding more of associations, many cannot keep track. Or associations are so busy trying to comply with the new laws, that they forget about the old ones. This portion of the class will focus on 10 regularly forgotten, and perhaps unknown, requirements that associations must comply with to ensure they are not exposing themselves to liability.

On top of that, not all governing documents are created equal, and in fact, many documents are just flat-out bad. But oftentimes, associations can make do with their current governing documents despite some bad provisions. Other times, however, the provisions contain language, or the lack of language, that is simply too problematic to keep operating under. In this portion of the class, we will examine those risky red flags that may mean it is time to amend your documents, and waiting is no longer an option.

Please plan on attending this presentation to ensure your association is fully in compliance and to determine whether it’s time to look at an amendment or rewrite of your governing documents.

All classes will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Greeley Family Funplex, 1501 65th Avenue. Light refreshments will be available. Pre-register with the Community Development Office at 970-350-9780 or [email protected]
