Dotting Your i’s and Crossing Your t’s When it Comes to Membership Meetings, Elections, and Actions Outside of Meetings

With all the various statutory requirements, both in CCIOA and the Nonprofit Act, it is easy to get confused over the specifics when it comes membership meetings, elections, and actions taken outside of meetings.  Proxies and mail ballots frequently get confused and used interchangeably; secret ballots are not always secret, and meeting notices are often noncompliant with CCIOA requirements.  This is a great class to attend before annual meeting and election season to make sure there are no loose ends in your communities and none of the actions are challenged.
