Although there are times when a document amendment may be required to accomplish a particular goal, there are also times when resolutions, rules, and policies are just as affective, quicker, less expensive, and in some instances preferred.  This session will review scenarios involving conflict of provisions within documents, ambiguities within documents, best practices for running meetings, providing access to documents, and other procedural and confusing situations and provide you tools for analyzing such situations to determine whether a rule, policy, or resolution would be the preferred “fix”, as well as perform some hands-on exercises drafting rules and policies to figure out how best such tools may be used to help your governing documents work the way they were intended to.

This class is approved for 2 hours CMCA Credit.
