Association Records: The Paper Trail of Truth

Despite the detailed list of records open to inspection by owners in CCIOA, there are still many confusing factors concerning production of association records. For example, should engineering reports be produced to owners even though they are not specifically listed as a record required to be produced? Are individual board members entitled to access whatever records they want even though such records are not available to owners and may pertain legal actions the association initiated against them before they got on the board? These are the type of questions we will answer in addition to providing a general overview of what documents owners can and cannot inspect, as well as processes to be utilized by associations with respect to records requests.
