Aurora City Class – Board Member Basics: Covenant Enforcement

This class is being hosted by the City of Aurora, not Altitude Community Law.

No matter how much a board tries to obtain “voluntary compliance” with the association’s governing documents, there still seems to be at least one person in the crowd that refuses to comply.  For this reason, boards need to become familiar with and understand the covenant enforcement process.  In this class, we will discuss items such as legal requirements for board members when enforcing covenants, common pitfalls when it comes to covenant enforcement, and the step-by-step process of covenant enforcement.  This class is a must if you’ve faced, or are currently facing, residents in your community that are just not following the rules.

All classes will be held from 6-7:30p.m. at the Aurora City Hall on the first floor in the Aurora Room. Food will be provided. Pre-register with the Housing and Community Services Office at [email protected].
