As we’ve said before and we’ll say again, “insurance is a necessary evil” for associations. On the one hand, insurance is necessary to protect the association, its directors, officers, and managers from having to pay money from their own pockets to defend themselves against litigious individuals. Insurance also protects the property in the event there is damage or destruction. On the other hand, insurance is confusing, convoluted, and nobody (other than the insurance professionals) seems to know how it works. If you are often confused by insurance or aren’t sure how to handle insurance claims, join us for this presentation where will try to break down insurance into its most basic terms and provide you with tools on handling insurance issues that may come up.
