You know what the basic recommended contract provisions are and why they are recommended; you also know that sometimes associations enter into contracts against your, and legal’s, advice. So what happens when something goes wrong during the contract term? What if no matter what the board and contractor do, the entire deal is just falling apart and threats of legal action are being thrown around? This class will focus on review of actual contracts and work through real disputes that have arisen in the past to try and figure out the right and wrong ways to get these disputes resolved. In this session we will also spend time looking at the right and wrong ways to terminate contracts and when litigation may or may not be advised.
This class is approved for 2 hours of CAM Continuing Education Credit and 2 hours of CMCA Credit.
