Longmont City Class – Ballots, Proxies, and Votes

Whether you’re holding a physical or virtual meeting or no meeting at all, how do you vote and when can you use ballots, proxies, powers of attorney, and other legal documents that often get confused? How many times has a community you know used mail ballots for a physical meeting or proxies for a vote by mail? Both of these actions violate Colorado law and the outcome of such voting subject to challenge and may be void. This class will discuss the various voting scenarios associations face and the legal requirements for each such scenario. We recommend anyone who has to deal with voting attend this session.
